Hi guys! Putting up one last journal. Due to the recent events that have happened, I decided to delete all the art in my gallery. I'm really sorry to anyone who had still been enjoying them up until this point. To be honest, doing this has crossed my mind even before I started hearing stuff. As much as I enjoyed being on here years ago, and even when I briefly became active again, I think it's time to truly move on. And the oldest art I had on here were connected to things that aren't really worth remembering anyways. A Break
It's been a bit since I posted here, but I'm gonna say I'm gonna be taking a long break from DA to concentrate more on art and story stuff. I'm not sure when (or if) I'll be back, but DA has been more of a distraction than anything else for me unfortunately. On Creativity, Love, and 'Christian Art'
Today I read a book on my shelf that I forgot I had, and never really looked at before. It was called Addicted to Mediocrity, by Franky Schaeffer. It talks about creativity and how we can glorify God with it without necessarily needing to plaster Christian labels all over it. In fact, it touches on why that practice can actually hurt the creativity of Christians in some ways-- One point being that just because you slap a 'Christian' label on something doesn't automatically make it good quality wise or spiritually wise. If no genuine love was put into it, and was only done to adhere to surface level aesthetics or themes that are so often associated with Christianity, then what's the point? There's no actual love in it. It's just an empty thing that neither has any real meaning, nor is even that good objectively. And then it hit me: Isn't this whole woke agenda in media doing the exact same thing? They're shoving in diversity, and all this other stuff that they claim to be good. And yet,

A bit of a heel turn from the last update, isn't it? It's something I've started thinking about a lot recently. There are still aspects of this site that I dislike, but I've been thinking that if I could possibly be an encouragement to even a few people here through my faith, then it would be worth it. It's something I've been praying about a lot. Of course I'd have to do a lot of reorganization here first. Since I'm still not fully sure, I'll just take things a bit slow, and see what happens. I definitely have a lot of stuff to update, so this may come with a lot of surprises for you guys.
